Did Rama went up this bridge to fetch Sita ?

Posted by orione on September 18, 2007

The recently discovered bridge currently named as Adam’s Bridge made of chain of shoals, is 18 miles (30 km) long, in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka, reveals a mystery behind it. The bridge’s unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man made. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 17,50,000 years ago and the bridge’s age is also almost equivalent. This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in tredha yuga (more than 17,00,000 years ago). In this epic, there is a mentioning about a bridge, which was built between Rameshwaram (India) and Srilankan coast under the supervision of a dynamic and invincible figure called Rama who is supposed to be the incarnation of the supreme. This information may not be of much importance to the archeologist s who are interested in exploring the origins of man, but it is sure to open the spiritual gates of the people of the world to have come to know an ancient history linked to the Indian mythology. Now the point of contention on Faith is did Rama actually build this bridge to go fetch Sita from the kingdom of Ravana ? A lot of political parties are tapping on the relegious sentiments of the masses using the Ram Sethu controversy.

PS:  The Mysorean is suggesting an amazing idea on how to have the cake and eat it too. This post lauds the efforts of Chandrababu naidu and how he had workaroud on a similar nature.

Here is an interesting video on youtube that has mention of Adams bridge at the mysterious places of the earth.It follows he epic of Ramayana and mentions that as aman made structure.

    I just want to say one thing that the bridge that join India and Sri Lanka has been made by the orders of Sri Rama. And the name which has been given to this bridge by nasa or somebody else , it is not fare. this bridge must be called as RAMA Bridge not as something as Adam’s bridge.

  2. Sanjay Jain Says:

    And pls let me know who gave the rights to called this bridge as Adam’s bridge.

    It does not matter if Rama Build the Bridge.The bridge has served its purpose ( rescueing Sita from Lanka) I am sure that Rama would not mind if the bridge is brought down now for a purpose for helping the people on the coasts of India and Sri Lanka in building ports and helping cut the navigation time for the ships.If people object to this the people will be beliitling a noble god like Rama

    @Goverdhan

    Very rightly said . Great men dont mind trivial matters.
