One of the few australians who have crossed the regional barrier to be recognised and a global citizen in the work that they were pursuing. Watching this person in action was like " Are you out of your *####*** mind ? " But then your slowly realise that this is not a gimmick or stunt that a showman is trying to pull , there is in fact a deep rooted passion for animals that is driving him to work on preserving them. Its a year since we lost Steve but the passion seems to be carried forward by Bindi and Bob with same vigor. Australian Zoo at Queensland eventhough has lost its first citizen it seems to be banking on the passion and inspiration that he has passed on to his kids. His trade mark of khakhi shorts and chirpy tone with tons of energy is something hard to forget. May the spirit and passion of " Crikey " pass to all you entrepruneurs in making for all that you are striving for.
MoMo Chennai will hold its first meeting for 2008 on Feb 16. After a very long gap of more than 50 days I have taken to blogging as we were all tied up for the organising of the event PROTO. With this edition we have completed 3 editions of PROTO at Chennai and most of us have felt that its time that we let go this movement across to other cities in India to gather moss. Based on this the next edition is to be held at Delhi and is in the third week of July 2008. Venue is yet to be finalised. A Week back i happened to catch up Aamir khan’s latest and debut directorial venture " Taare Zameen Par ". I expected to see something on the lines of " Anjali " A mani ratnam offer some 10 yrs back . But this movie was way beyond all those expectations. There were many instance in the film that i was able to correlate with my Childhood friends at school. This movie takes you to a different world as such. It makes you realise that we need to step back from this fast paced urban life style at times to relish on nature and as well to nurture those souls who are good at different skills and not necessarily academic. A great offering for parents and a must see for all teachers in our country. The young boy Ishaan is the star of the movie with such a powerful packed performance. At last a movie that you could really enjoy not for the star value but for the content and the performances. A must watch film. I wouldnt like to talk more on the film content and let the secret out. But is a hearty treat for 2007 !
